DNS Propagation

The time it takes for DNS changes to spread across all servers globally, typically a few hours.

DNS propagation is the time it takes for DNS changes to spread across all DNS servers globally. When you update DNS records (like nameservers or A records), the changes don't take effect instantly — they propagate as DNS caches expire based on each record's TTL (Time to Live). Propagation typically completes within a few hours but can take up to 48 hours in rare cases.
