Broker Fee

The commission paid to a domain broker for facilitating a sale — typically 10–20% of the sale price.

A domain broker fee (commission) is the percentage of the sale price paid to a broker for facilitating a domain transaction. Seller-side broker fees typically range from 10–20% of the sale price. Buyer-side acquisition fees may be structured differently — sometimes a flat fee, sometimes a percentage, sometimes a combination. For very high-value domains ($1M+), brokers may negotiate lower percentage rates due to the large absolute dollar amounts.
