IPFS (InterPlanetary File System)

A decentralized file storage protocol used to host censorship-resistant websites pointed to by Web3 domains.

IPFS is a peer-to-peer distributed file storage protocol that enables decentralized websites and content. Web3 domains (like .eth ENS names) can point to IPFS content hashes rather than traditional IP addresses, enabling censorship-resistant websites stored across thousands of nodes. Content on IPFS is addressed by its content hash (CID) rather than location, so content cannot be altered without changing the address.
