An MX (Mail Exchange) record is a DNS record that specifies the mail server responsible for receiving email for a domain. MX records include a priority value — lower numbers have higher priority. A domain can have multiple MX records for redundancy. For example, Google Workspace uses MX records pointing to Google's mail servers (aspmx.l.google.com).
