Sell-through rate (STR) is the percentage of domains in a portfolio that sell in a given year. Industry estimates suggest most domain portfolios have STRs of 1–5% annually — meaning out of 100 domains, 1–5 sell per year. Higher STRs indicate a quality portfolio with strong market demand. STR is a key metric for evaluating portfolio health and projecting revenue.
