Wayback Machine

The Internet Archive tool for viewing historical website snapshots — used by domain investors for research.

The Wayback Machine (web.archive.org) is the Internet Archive's tool for viewing historical snapshots of websites. Domain investors use it to research what a domain was previously used for — checking for prior brand use, content history, or potential trademark issues. It is also used to verify a domain's traffic history and age, and to check if a dropped domain had a legitimate prior use that might support a UDRP defense.
