The Trademark Clearinghouse is an ICANN-mandated database of verified trademarks used to protect brand owners during new gTLD launches. Trademark holders register their marks in the TMCH to participate in Sunrise periods and receive notifications (Claims notices) when someone tries to register a matching domain during the new TLD's launch phase. The TMCH is operated by Deloitte and IBM.
