Polygon is an Ethereum Layer 2 scaling blockchain that enables faster and cheaper transactions than Ethereum mainnet. Unstoppable Domains uses Polygon for issuing and managing most of its domain extensions, making domain minting and transfers nearly free. ENS primarily operates on Ethereum mainnet but Layer 2 integrations are in development. Polygon is EVM-compatible, meaning Ethereum tools and wallets work with it.
