Uniform Rapid Suspension (URS)

A fast, cheap dispute mechanism for obvious trademark infringement on new gTLD domains — results in suspension.

The Uniform Rapid Suspension system is a lightweight dispute mechanism for clear-cut trademark infringement on new gTLD domains. URS cases must show clear and convincing evidence of infringement. Rather than transferring the domain, a URS ruling suspends it for the remaining registration period. URS proceedings are faster and cheaper than UDRP ($375 vs $1,500+) but are only available for new gTLDs and have a higher evidentiary standard.
