TLD (Top-Level Domain)

The rightmost part of a domain name — e.g., .com, .net, .org.

A top-level domain (TLD) is the rightmost segment of a domain name, appearing after the final dot — for example, .com, .org, .net, .io, or .uk. TLDs are managed by ICANN and divided into generic TLDs (gTLDs) like .com and .app, country-code TLDs (ccTLDs) like .uk and .de, and sponsored TLDs like .gov and .edu.
